Ramps come with round coping for grinding and transition. You can use almost any of them as long as they are about 3" in length and have a 3/8" diameter. Half pipe, Quarter pipe and Wedge ramps come with a steel kick plate for long life and fully. However, hook bolts come in a variety a shapes and sizes. The bolt at the bottom of the illustration on the right is also known as a clothesline hook and is the most common for this application. For every 80lb bag of concrete use 1/3 a bag of concrete sand. and avaialble in 3 different legnths with two pieces per order. Use the previously drilled holes to mark the coping. Once the 2x4 has been drilled, place the coping in the notch on the mini ramp. Drill a 3/8" hole in each marked location at a slight downward angle. Also mark two in the middle at 2'-4 apart. ![]() Im putting down the top layer on my mini, and no matter how much effort I put into trying to get each sheet flush with the adjacent ones, there are still quite a few frustratingly noticeable gaps. Mark the 2x4 about an 1 1/2" down from the top, 6" in from each end. Rep: 1 Filling gaps in ramp surface « on: August 10, 2017, 07:17:26 PM » Ramp construction question. To attach the coping to the mini ramp with bolts, you will need to drill holes in the 2x4 behind where the coping will sit. Only drill throgh one side of the coping, drill the holes just big enough for a screw head to fit inside. We use 18mm plywood for profiles/decks and two layers of 9mm plywood on the riding surface of our mini ramp kits.
